Three years ago I walked into a conference room in Toledo, Ohio, knowing nobody and uncertain if I made the right move; but knowing in my heart this was truly meant to be. That was 2010 and my life was forever changed. I decided I wanted to be a professional pet blogger, learn how to do it, and then couple that with my skill and passion for writing, PR, and social media. I love pets, so it was a natural progression for me: to become a professional pet blogger.

I look around the room and saw that there were literally hundreds like me. There were the founders, three powerful people who had a vision and with their tenacity and plan, they started BlogPaws. The purpose? BlogPaws is the premier online resource to help pet bloggers, brands and pet enthusiasts connect digitally, build their online presence, enhance their social networks and give back to the community. In addition to its dynamic web-based network, BlogPaws brings this passionate community together for annual live events.

And for true devotees of pets like me, the entire event is pet-welcoming, and even has on-site daycare should you choose that option. My life was dramatically altered. I had my “ah-ah” moment, as Oprah calls them, when I went to the first BlogPaws conference. I learned and applied what I learned. And a major dog magazine hired me. I created and managed their blog and garnered for them a nationally recognized bloggers award. Not bad for a rookie in the world of blogging.

bulldogsWell, in the other four BlogPaws conferences I subsequently attended, the bar kept getting upped and upped each time. I’ve always been a confident person, and when I am sure I know a skill, I am pretty fearless about applying myself. But I am a lifelong learner. So I attend the BlogPaws conferences to learn, to be educated, to network with brands, get skilled in areas where I falter, and of course, meet new friends and associates.

Did I mention I can do all this with my dog by my side and make a vacation out of it? The next BlogPaws conference is May 16-18, 2013 in Tysons Corner, Virgina, right near Washington D.C. You can do a ton of things with your pet in DC – like hike Arlington National Cemetery. Dexter and I have done this several times.

So if 2013 is your year to up your blogging game, to educate yourself, and to get face to face with small and big brands so you can maximize yourself while monetizing your blog, then now is the time to jump on the BlogPaws Cyber Monday savings. If you don’t blog but are maybe a person in charge of a rescue group’s Facebook page or Twitter account, we have something at BlogPaws for you, too.

So for all of this, on Cyber Monday for 24 hours, it costs 1/2 price for a full conference pass: That’s just $79 bucks! This makes a great holiday gift, too!

On Cyber Monday, 11/26, for 24 hours, BlogPaws is slicing prices in half. That’s right – IN HALF- HALF OFF! For 24 hours use code CyberPaws to purchase a BlogPaws Conference Pass for half off!!!*** Here’s the link you need: http://blogp.ws/2013Reg
